Terms of Service
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
MeldCNC (the “service”) is provided by MELD d.o.o., Legen 38, SI-2383 Šmartno pri Slovenj Gradcu, Slovenia, VAT ID SI35492031 (“we”, “us”). These terms apply to every use of the service, on the free and on paid plans. By creating an account you accept them. If you use the service for a company, you confirm that you may accept these terms on its behalf.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old and give accurate information when you register.
- Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens in your account; tell us promptly if you suspect misuse.
- One account per person. Workshop plans may add team members, each with their own login.
3. Plans, prices and billing
- Hobby is free, for personal and non-commercial use, and limited to 3 cloud projects.
- Maker costs USD 8 per month, or USD 86.40 per year paid in advance (10 % off). Commercial use by one person.
- Workshop costs USD 22 per month, or USD 237.60 per year paid in advance (10 % off). Commercial use by up to 5 team members.
Prices are in US dollars. For customers in the European Union, VAT is added at the rate that applies in their country; business customers with a valid VAT ID are invoiced under the reverse-charge rule. The exact amount is shown before you pay.
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your account settings; the plan then stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and is not renewed. Apart from the withdrawal right below, we do not refund partial periods.
We may change prices for future billing periods. We tell you by email at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
If you downgrade or a payment fails, nothing is deleted: projects above the free limit become read-only, and you can still open, simulate and export them.
4. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
If you are a consumer in the EU, you may withdraw from a paid subscription within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason. Tell us clearly that you withdraw, by post to the address above. Because the service starts immediately at your request, we refund the amount you paid minus the share for the days already used.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s rights, including by uploading designs you have no right to use;
- attack, overload or probe the service, or get around its limits or security;
- resell or give others access to the service outside your plan;
- copy, decompile or rebuild the service, except where the law allows it.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules. Where possible we warn you first and give you time to fix the problem.
6. Your designs and files
Everything you create or upload stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to store, process and display it so the service works for you, for as long as you keep it in the service. We don’t look at your projects except to answer your support request or when the law requires it.
Export your projects and G-code whenever you like. After you delete your account, we erase your content as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Our software
The service, its software, design and documentation belong to MELD d.o.o. or its licensors. During your plan you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service under these terms. Open-source components are used under their own licences.
8. Machine safety
CNC machines can cause serious injury and damage. Toolpaths, feed and speed recommendations, simulations and time estimates are calculated aids, not guarantees. Before and during every job you remain responsible for:
- checking the G-code, the work zero, the bit, the clamping and the machine settings;
- staying with the machine while it runs, with its emergency stop within reach;
- wearing eye and hearing protection and using dust extraction;
- following the manufacturer’s instructions for your machine, spindle and bits.
Machine control sends commands to your machine through your browser. The connection can be interrupted by the computer, the browser, the cable or the machine; the machine’s own safety features must never depend on the service.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available, but interruptions for maintenance or outside our control can happen. We keep improving the service and may change features; we will not remove a core feature of your paid plan during a period you have paid for.
10. Liability
We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential obligations, limited to the damage typical and foreseeable when the contract was made, and in total to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the damage occurred. We are not liable for damaged material, bits or machines caused by jobs you run, for lost profits, or for loss of data you could have prevented by exporting it. Mandatory consumer-protection rules are not affected.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We tell account holders about important changes by email at least 30 days in advance. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect; otherwise the new terms apply from that date.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim there. For business customers, the courts competent for our registered seat have jurisdiction.
If any part of these terms is invalid, the rest remains in force.
